ABOUT
The Fortaleza Trail leads to the only 18th-century military monument in Paraná. It's 3.7 km of flat trail from Nova Brasília, passing through the Istmo and following the coast to Fortaleza village. The trail is easy, with no climbs, and can be done in flip-flops. A longer (4 km) and more beautiful alternative is along the beach, but only possible at low tide. At the destination, Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres and Praia da Fortaleza (4 km of extension) make the effort worthwhile.
