Vila do Farol is the small settlement near Farol das Conchas, between Nova Brasília and Praia do Farol. With about 150 inhabitants, it is the most tranquil and charming village on the island. It has a few quality inns and restaurants such as Beehouse (famous for the Maracolate), Café das Meninas, and Treze Luas. The proximity to Farol das Conchas (10 min walk) and Praia de Fora makes it a perfect base for those who want comfort without the bustle of Nova Brasília.
