The Complete Island Circuit of Ilha do Mel is the ultimate challenge for trekking lovers. It's 20 km of walking that circles the entire island, passing through all beaches, hills and villages. Requires mandatory local guide — guide Maninho is the most known (R$120, contact at 41 3426-9059). The walk takes about 8 hours and can also be done by bicycle. It's a unique experience that few tourists do.
